Tonight's show featuring: Lima!

What a relief it was today that my two weeks have passed and now, thankfully I have the opportunity look at little Lima for the next 4 weeks while I wait for my next appointment. And by then, I'll be ending out my first trimester! Oh my gosh I feel like this is going so quickly! Heartbeat was on track in the 150-160's.Now that things are on the right track, I feel comfortable sharing this with my close friends and family. I couldn't have asked for a better birthday gift for this year :)

Anything going on down there?

Image via WikipediaTo be honest, if B and I hadn't been trying to get pregnant since my m/c last fall - I probably wouldn't have a clue what I was pregnant... That's right - I could totally fall into that TV show that I always made fun of (I didn't know I was Pregnant), insisting "How could you NOT know you were pregnant.." Well, that's pretty easy when you have no symptoms that can't be explained by other means.  My short list of symptoms:

• Exhausted.  Well sure, I found out I was pregnant right before I went back to work after having nearly 3 months off for summer. Of course I'm exhausted, I'm actually doing something now.
• Hungry.  I've been doing a strict boot camp since April, so I ate regularly as the boot camp guidelines required.  After finding out I was pregnant I stopped going, so stopping such a strict regime that I had will certainly throw me off.
  
• Emotional.  I'm an emotional wreck with or without extra hormones so that's nothing new.

That's it.  Seriously. Now how you'd make it 9-10 months not knowing, well if I can manage to be entirely symptom-free until delivery, I'll let you know ;-)

The waiting game...

Little Lima made it to 6 weeks this week. However, I won't get to hear Lima's heartbeat for another two weeks! How do they expect pregnant women to sit around and wait for things like this. I go to my first appointment tonight, and I'm hoping I can convince them to at least give me a beta test so that I can be sure there's still something there and it's growing like it should be. I feel like all this sitting around and waiting, I am missing out on actually enjoying this experience!

Update: Fail. No blood test, nothing. Forced to wait two more long, long, long weeks.
